How to cook vegetables: salt water or fresh water?
Le Guérandais advises you to adapt your type of cooking to your vegetables. Indeed, not all vegetables cook the same way! Use salted water with coarse Guérande sea salt to cook all your fresh vegetables. This way, they'll absorb the salt when cooked in water, and be perfectly seasoned.
Inversely, it's better to use fresh water to cook dried vegetables, and add the salt after cooking. In fact, salt tends to slow down the cooking of dried vegetables as it hardens their skin. You can add salt with "Le Guérandais" fine Guérande salt, at your convenience, once the dried vegetables are cooked.
